I’m super pleased to announce that this will be my 600th post on my blog. And rather than post a recipe I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to reflect a tad bit on everything that has happened over the past 5 years.
I started Fang restaurant in 2009 and shortly there after I decided to start myfangalicious.com as a hobby, something for me to do outside of work. Back then I was working 7 days a week at the restaurant and needed to do something that was fun that was related to my passion (food) that didn’t involve work. So I started the blog as a an outlet for fun, occasionally posting some dishes I was making in my limited free time. And before you know it, 5 years pass and I find myself posting my 600th entry. I appreciate all the people who have encouraged and helped me keep at my blog. It’s been a learning process both working on the blog and of course running my business (Fang restaurant). I feel fortunate to have been able to do both as it’s something I’m very passionate about and love doing.
I’ve grown so much over these 5 years both professionally and personally. During this time, I also discovered a new passion which is learning how to live a healthy balanced lifestyle through a balanced diet and fitness. And you can see this trend in my blog posts as the more recent ones (of the last two years) have become more and more centered on how to be healthy. I can proudly say that I am now healthier and more fit than I’ve ever been my entire life.
And to top that off, this month I was featured on SELF magazine for Healthy Asian Recipes (a good full 6 pages). A dream come true for me to go to a store and find amongst all the top magazines, one with my recipes in it:)
And of course, Fang business is growing and doing better each year. I feel grateful and blessed to have all this in my life and hope to bring more to your life through my blog for many many more years to come.
Below are some of my top blog post images to recap the 5 years of blogging:) Thank you for keeping up with the blog and cheers to all my reader! xoxo chef kathy fang
