Tropical Tuna Poke Dip

Dips are usually always loaded with carbs or fat. It’s hard to find dips that pack lots of protein minus the fat. Why not use the classic tuna poke dish and use that as your “dip” when you are craving a midday snack while working or watching tv. Put away with nasty onion dip and lays chips and dig into something healthy and flavorful. Pair it with rice cracker chips or nori (seaweed). _MG_6593It’s basically all protein with little oil and works well with other goodies like healthy nuts, shredded coconut, sesame seeds or even chia seeds. Try my Tropical Tuna Poke Dip. It’s visually gorgeous not to mention very addicting☺

Tropical Tuna Poke Dip

Ingredients: Serves 1
5 leaves of Shiso leaf (sliced into thin ribbons)
1/3 lb sashimi grade tuna (I used maguro) diced into small cubes
¼ cup diced pickled daikon (sweet and sour radishes)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon shredded coconut
2 tsp yuzu (or lemon juice)
1 tablespoon braggs soy or tamari
2 tsp siracha
1 tsp chili flakes (if you like it spicy)
1 tablespoon slivered almonds (raw preferably)

Method:
1. Toss everything together and let it marinate in the fridge while you set up your other accroutrements_MG_6559
2.Grab some rice cracker thins,_MG_6591 some seaweed and or whatever types of crackers you prefer
3.Lay them out and pull out your tuna and start dipping and eating!
