Recently, I was able to finally catch up with my lovely girlfriend Anna and her super adorable daughter Audrey. And what better way to catch up than to do it over some great food and try out a new place while we’re at it. Coqueta is the newly opened Spanish Tapas restaurant located on Pier 5 on the Embarcadero. Chef Michael Chiarello opened this place, being his first restaurant in San Francisco, although not new to the restaurant landscape in Northern California. He carved a name for himself with one of his first restaurants, Travigne in Napa and then much later, he joined Top Chef and his stardom shot up like crazy. My personal favs of his is actually Bottega in Yountville. I had one of my birthday dinners there a few years back and actually went back the very next day to have pasta again for lunch. Yes, I enjoyed the pasta that much I literally went back for seconds the next day. I am also a huge fan of his Napa Style collection of cookware, home products, decor, and kitchen products. So obviously, once I found out Coqueta was opening, I knew it would be on my bucket list of things to do.
Here are some of the delectable dishes we had, the salmon being one of my favs as well as the razor clams. I saw the beautiful cocktails served as well with pretty little flowers. I will be definitely be back for dinner sometime and try out a few cocktails:)
