Here are some other food finds and photos from my trip to Boston and Martha’s Vineyard this weekend. I was actually only in Boston for a few hours. I had a wedding to go to at Martha Vineyard and had to fly into Boston and drive to the Wood’s Hole Ferry Station to take the Ferry into Martha’s Vineyard.
Upon arriving to Boston I hopped into a rental and drove around town and grabbed lunch at 5 Napkins Burger. There I had the Cornmeal Crusted Onion Rings with Blue Cheese dressing and Chipotle Mayo.
And of course a burger, the Original which came with caramelized onions, cheddar, and 5 Napkins Special Sauce.
Verdict: The burger was good but quite honestly a bit too heavy for me. That patty was HUGE and I felt instant food coma afterwards. The onion rings were nicely fried but also a bit heavy on the batter. It’s good after your first two rings. Then you feel like you’re eating bread after that. All in all it was not my cup of tea.
After the insanely huge lunch, I then proceeded to sit in bumper to bumper traffic and slowly inched to Wood’s Hole. After 2.5 hours on the road, I then took the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Upon reaching the port at Martha’s Vineyard there was an amazing sunset.
I stayed at Harbour View Hotel which is in Edgartown and absolutely adorable. It sits on the waterfront and is just pristine.
The adorable front porch of the hotel with the blue rocking chairs.
I had dinner at L’Etoile that night which I posted previously. The next morning I had a few hours to roam the town before heading to the wedding. I had breakfast at the local breakfast spot called Among the Flower’s Cafe and they had really good basic breakfast fare. We tried the omelette with sour cream, potato, bacon, and cheddar paired with house made cinnamon raisin toast.
as well as the Corned Beef Hash and the California which had havarti, tomato, avocado, basil, and caramelized onions paired with house made rye.
The best thing here was the Corned Beef Hash and I really enjoyed the rye.
Edgartown is pretty small so after breakfast I walked the neighboorhood and visited a few stores in the center of the town. Check out these cute homes in the neighboorhood. It’s so picture perfect here.
Ice cream break at the Scoop Store where they have all sorts of candy, sweet treats, and of course ice cream. They had great homemade ice cream flavors such as Coconut Macaroon, Birthday Cake, Smore’s, Root Beer Malt, and more. I had the Root Beer Malt and Strawberry.
