Recently I was reminded of my trip to Utah two years ago and went back to look over the photos. I didn’t actually have my blog then so I never posted anything on the trip. It was by far one of the most scenic trips I’ve ever taken. I stayed at Amangiri which is part of Aman Resorts. Aman is extremely well known in Southeast Asia as one of the best boutique hotel brands. They usually take over very remote places and have very few rooms/suites total, making it very private and exclusive. Amangiri has 38 suites total on it’s premise. There are only 2 Aman hotels in the US and I’ve stayed at both. If you don’t get a chance to travel far to Southeast Asia to try out an Aman, then I would recommend going to Amangiri. Amangani which is in Jackson Hole Wyoming was not as scenic and the hotel itself was not as exclusive or as architecturally interesting as Amangiri.
Amangiri sits on 600 acres of land in Canyon Point (Southern part of Utah). The hotel was built to blend into it’s surroundings by using the same hues, textures, and materials that you find in the landscape. It’s truly a breathtaking resort. Here are some photos! Note, all the photos were images I captured with my camera with no editing what so ever. The photos speak for themselves. All the colors and the lighting is exactly how I saw it in person. Enjoy!!!!
This friendly little fella, well I almost stepped into this rattle snake climbing down a mountain. Thank god my guide went first and saw what I was about to step foot into and screamed out to me to warn me. That would not have been a pretty site.
Hope you enjoyed some of those pics!
